Joining the GVVT is one way you can support the work of the Trust. You don’t require to have any experience in vehicle restoration, or even own a vehicle to become a member!
The garage is open to members on a Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday when you are welcome to come along. Other member benefits include:
- free admission to any open days and weekends
- occasional members evening shows and trips
- the opportunity to volunteer to help and assist at our events
- the opportunity to help at the garage and in our archive
- our quarterly GVVT magazine, Fare Stage, electronically or paper version
- possible excursions to rallies
Volunteering at GVVT is not essential but it can be very rewarding with opportunities to help out with different aspects of the Trust’s work. Many new members do just that. But no pressure! If you are happy receiving free entry to events and our Fare Stage magazine then that’s fine too.
Membership lasts one year from date of joining. We have a number of options for membership based on whether you wish a digital copy or paper copy of our quarterly magazine and how you wish to pay. Our current membership rates for 2024 are:
- Fully Digital – pay electronically (Debit Card, Credit Card or PayPal only). Members receive a physical membership card posted out to them. Fare Stage magazines will only be sent by email in a PDF format. Members opting for this membership will be able to continue to pay the 2023 rate £20 Adult / £18 Child (under 16) or Senior (over 65)/ £49 Family (up to 4 members of the same family, one must be a child).
- Hybrid – pay electronically (Debit Card, Credit Card or PayPal only). Members receive a physical membership card posted out to them. Fare Stage magazines will be posted out in printed format. Members will also be sent a copy by email in a PDF format. Members opting for this membership will pay a slightly increased rate £22 Adult / £20 Child (under 16) or Senior (over65).
