
Our popular Family and Community Open Day returns on Sunday 27th July 2025.
We are Open from 1100-1630. Save time and buy your ticket online or pay on the day by cash or card! £6 adult, £5 Concession, £4 Child, £17 Family.
Child tickets are for children aged 3-15. A family ticket is valid for 2 adults and 2 children or 1 adult and 3 children. Under 3’s are admitted free and don’t require a ticket!

There’s more to do at Bridgeton! Visit Family Day on July 27th and experience our regular attractions and more – at no extra cost. Your Wee Happy Bus has cab, bell, sounds and ticket machine. It’s a sure hit with youngsters. SIM 1 is for bigger kids and adults. The three-screen, high-tech bus driving experience tilts as you brake and rocks as you roll round corners. The simulator was purchased by Stagecoach co-founder Sir Brian Souter and accepted on long-term loan by GVVT chairman Steven Booth. Find it by Your Wee Happy Shop, supported by two ride-on Playstation 5 bus simulators.


GVVT Family Day isn’t GVVT Family Day without the Michael Brawley Big Band supported by the Jump ‘n’ Jive dancers. Hear them swing the garage on Sunday (Jul 27) with two one-hour sets at 12 noon and 2pm.

Biscuit kings Tunnock’s are coming to GVVT Family Day with their unique Fleur de Lys van. Sir Boyd Tunnock ensures his brand has a permanent presence at Bridgeton Bus Garage in the shape of ads on 1954 Leyland Titan L484.


The Imperial Scottish Garrison bring the character of Star Wars to life, along with Ghostbusters, model boats, face painting, toy and art stalls and why not test your skills with Clydesdale Rowing Club!




We’re supporting Glasgow NE Foodbank – please bring a donation if you can.

Refreshments and toilets are be available.
The GVVT Wee Happy Shop will be open selling books, models and merchandise.
We hope to have a small number of visiting vehicles on display to compliment the vehicles in the GVVT collection.
A free shuttle service will operate every 15 minutes between the Garage and City Centre.





The MBF (Model Bus Federation) Scotland will have their layout and wonderful collection of model buses on display.
