It is with regret that due to ongoing construction work at Glasgow Harbour, adjacent to the Riverside Museum, and the associated traffic & pedestrian management measures that are in place, GVVT has no option but to cancel this year’s event.  The situation has been monitored closely as it develops.  We had expected these to have been completed by the event but unfortunately additional traffic and pedestrian management measures have appeared this week, hence the late nature of this decision. Alternative locations were considered at which to base the service, but unfortunately no other option could be found that offers the combination of static vehicle display, layover parking of buses between journeys, and safe management of buses and large volumes of passengers.  We apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment caused, but hope you can join us at our ‘London Comes to Glasgow’ Super Sunday on Sunday 5th July at Bridgeton Bus Garage.

We’re delighted that our popular free vintage bus service for Glasgow’s West End will be returning for 2026!

On Sunday 28th June a selection of Vintage Buses from the GVVT collection at Bridgeton will operate a frequent service connecting Riverside Museum with Broomhill, Anniesland and the Botanic Gardens. We also plan to have some vehicles on display on the display area outside Riverside Museum. There is also a free shuttle service from outside Buchanan Bus Stn every 30 minutes, see the timetable below for full details.

You can join our buses at any stop en-route, change buses as often as you wish, and it’s all free!
