Join us on 3 & 4 October 2026 from 10am-5pm!
Visitors will be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of yesteryear with our frequent free vintage bus services to and from the City Centre (Killermont Street for Buchanan Bus Station) and the Botanic Gardens (a change for 2026). The frequent service will use a selection of historic buses from the GVVT collection together with a number of visiting vehicles. The updated timetable and map will be shown below very soon.
Inside the garage, we’ll have a fine display of buses, commercial vehicles and fire engines again many visiting the garage from elsewhere. We will also have a number of modern buses from today’s operators which will let visitors contrast buses of today with their predecessors from the 20th Century. The vehicle displays also give the visitor insight into all stages of vehicle restoration, from rusting hulks, to preservation in progress and finally to the restored vehicle.
We have our official GVVT shop, Your Wee Happy Shop, with books, magazines, DVDs, clothing and souvenirs. We will also have a large number of visiting stalls selling souvenirs, books, models, photos and autojumble.

The Model Bus Federation will be bringing their dioramas showing their models in a range of street scenes.
Finally, and not to be forgotten, the Clippie’s Café will be opening serving refreshments, hot rolls and light snacks (including lots of delicious cakes!)
