You may remember we had to cancel our original event in June due to over-running roadworks outside Riverside Museum. The roadworks and reconfiguration has only recently been completed, therefore, GVVT are taking the opportunity to run a rescheduled West End Bus Fest with free bus rides around the West End, and a vintage vehicle display at Riverside Museum on Saturday 15th August.

We’re delighted that our popular free vintage bus service for Glasgow’s West End will be returning for 2026, just a bit later than planned!

On Saturday 15th August a selection of Vintage Buses from the GVVT collection at Bridgeton will operate a frequent service connecting Riverside Museum with Broomhill, Anniesland and the Botanic Gardens. We also plan to have some vehicles on display on the display area outside Riverside Museum. See the timetable below for full details. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to operate a shuttle bus to the City Centre on this event due to limited space at Riverside Museum. We recommend catching the Subway to Kelvin Hall and then catching one our free buses on Byres Road near Partick Cross.

You can join our buses at any stop en-route, change buses as often as you wish, and it’s all free!
