A special event to celebrate 61 since ’61

Date for your diary – Sunday 28th August.   Alexanders – 61 years since ’61.  A special one-off event in Perth.

In a joint production between bus owners from the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum, the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust, and the Angus Transport Group, vintage buses of the former Walter Alexander & Sons fleets will descend upon the fair city of Perth, to celebrate 61 years since ’61.  1961 was the year of the split of the vast Alexanders buses empire into three, namely Midland, Fife & Northern.  Why 61 years?  Well, we couldn’t really do it last year due to the short rally season caused by emerging from the pandemic, and we wouldn’t have had such a catchy title then!

We plan to bring to you a network of free vintage bus routes from Perth Bus Station, and a shuttle from Broxden Park & Ride.

See our event page for more details.

Come and join us for a trip back in time!
